Web Design: 21 Days of Prayer

Working with Fort Wayne Renewal Ministries was a great experience. I started by
creating a basic web page for the 21 Days of Prayer event. They were so pleased with it and the
reaction they received from it that when it came time to build
them a website, they came back to me and asked me to
build a new website that integrated the 21 Days of Prayer. Instead of updating the site on
their own, they have chosen to pay me for occasional
updates and it has been a pleasure helping them
reach a great audience in the Fort Wayne
area.
Fort Wayne Renewal Ministries is located
in Fort Wayne, Indiana and is a
beautiful ministry outreach
for the community. Fort Wayne Renewal Ministries is lead by Pastor Monte Sheets
who wanted a website that would allow his
congregation and the Fort Wayne community to have a
place to access information. I created a
neutral color them and a design that did not take up a
great deal of space. Instead, the website was
centralized and eliminated all the extra space that they
would not be able to fill. This website was not going to
be inundated with a great deal of information.
Instead, the website was split up into a half dozen web
pages that allowed users to gain access to
information regarding prayer events, summits, and upcoming events.
The website was built in a
basic HTML code with the insertion of a flash menu
and flash pictures. The website has a new, clean
look to it that allows the user to see past the design
and take in the desires of pastor Monte Sheets
without getting too tied up in the in and outs of
the color scheme and flashy features. At the same
time, the website serves its purpose and allows
the user to make the connection between the green
leaves that represent life and the ministry that
focuses on renewals.
